Jean Eddy Remy was born in 1976 in the village of Noailles, a former sugar plantation in Croix-des-Bouquets. Self-taught, he develops graphic writing, more and more personal. Of more, in contact with the Master sculptor and Togolese designer, Kossi Assou (Transcultural Forum 2006, Haiti; Ewolé 2008, Togo), Jean Eddy Rémy began to question the tradition of cut iron. His gesture freed from drawing, now values the recovery sheet in the state raw. It is exhibited in several Caribbean countries, in Europe, in the United States as in Africa. Jean Eddy Rémy, as a true culture activist, is President of the Association of Artists and Craftsmen of Croix-des-Bouquets (ADAAC), member of the Foundation AfricAméricA and founding member of the SELIDE cultural center in Croix-des-Bouquets which brings together artists of all tendencies : visual artists, musicians, people from theater and dance.

From 2004, Jean Eddy Rémy, participate as a trainer in various Foundation activities AfricAméricA, targeting young people and the children.
Jean Eddy Rémy is a young leader of the community of sculptors from Noailles to Croix-des-Bouquets. His dynamism, his hyperactivity, its ability to create links between individuals, communities, cultures, countries, allowed it to exceed the multitude of obstacles hindering the creation in Haiti.

In 2009 He obtained the prize of the Ordre de la Pléiade awarded by the Parliamentary Assembly of La Francophonie at the 6th Games of the Francophonie in Lebanon for the quality of his work. In 2012 he obtained from the organization international GRAHN-World the Excellence in Craftsmanship award. In May 2013, as part of the launch of the week of Europe organized at the Institute French from Haiti, he presents two works at the sculpture festival.

In the same context, he participates at the 100% digital exhibition, this time as a pupil of Maksaens Dennis, looking for new means for its creation. He participated in the collective exhibition “Nway Kanpe! » on May 28, 2021 , presented by the AfricAmericA foundation and had a solo exhibition in March 2022 at Maison Dufort.
